چکیده
Peat soils are organic formed from decomposed plant parts that spread throughout the world, reaching 423 million hectares. It is well known peat have adverse characteristics for infrastructure development due to their low shear strength and durability. Therefore, a lot of research has been done regarding improvement so in dominant soil locations. However, conducting research, many tests were found be inappropriate based on soils, causing doubts about results research. In this paper, literature study conducted books, journals, papers, or previous determine types suitable these characteristics. Based discussion, physical properties can tested ash content, fibre acidity, while Atterberg limits cannot tested. addition, testing mechanical soil, carried out direct test, Rowe cell, CBR test with notes.

Metatranscriptomic analysis of arctic peat soil microbiota.
Recent advances in meta-omics and particularly metatranscriptomic approaches have enabled detailed studies of the structure and function of microbial communities in many ecosystems. Molecular analyses of peat soils, ecosystems important to the global carbon balance, are still challenging due to the presence of coextracted substances that inhibit enzymes used in downstream applications. We sampl...

متن کاملControls of soil pipe frequency in upland blanket peat
[1] Soil pipes were surveyed in 160 British blanket peat catchments using consistent application of ground-penetrating radar. Soil pipes were found in all catchments. The mean frequency of piping was 69 per kilometer of surveyed transect. Land management (moorland gripping) appears to exert the most important control on hillslope pipe frequency in blanket peats. Management practice in peatlands...
متن کاملInfluence of Substitution of Peat with Iranian Zeolite(Clinoptilolite) In Peat Medium on Ficus Benjamina Growth
This experiment was designed to characterize the effects of size and concentration of an Iranian clinoptilolite zeolite on the growth ofFicus benjamina (starlight) in peat base media. Ficus benjamina was stock rooted and grown in a peat consisting perlite (2: 1 v/v) (P: Pe), zeolite (10, 20, 30 and 40 v/v %, two sizes 0.5-3 mm and 3-8 mm) instead of peat in P: Pe (2: 1 v/v) media. Ficus benjami...
متن کاملMicromonospora humi sp. nov., isolated from peat swamp forest soil.
A novel actinomycete, strain P0402(T), was isolated from peat swamp forest soil collected in Thailand. Its taxonomic position was determined by using a polyphasic taxonomic approach. The chemotaxonomic characteristics of this strain matched those of the genus Micromonospora, i.e. the presence of meso-diaminopimelic acid and N-glycolyl muramic acid in the peptidoglycan, whole-cell sugar pattern ...
